Clickety-clack: knitted things

I first learned knitting at the tender age of 8. It was a compulsory 'elective' for a term at Girls' Brigade.
I hated it. I was not interested in making a mouse in the slightest. I took up loom weaving for a little while at about age 10ish and really enjoyed that. I made a runner mat for my dressing table using wool that had been hand-dyed with vegetable dyes.

Since then I had not touched 'fibre-craft' until my oldest was a baby and I wanted to knit him a hat. I never got round to making him one but made a few shrugs and hats for other babies we knew. I also attempted a couple of fancy looking scarves for myself. I'm enjoying challenging myself with learning new stitches and patterns - but am still adverse to knitting tension squares and can't knit and watch TV at the same time.

Easiest pattern I have ever made! Just regular knitting stitch for a long time. Don't check the inside though, I'm still coming to grips with how to incorporate different colours.

Knitted for a friend's new baby boy, it took several months and a lot of improvisation as the pattern really had a lot of odd instructions that didn't work (even according to my avid knitter aunty who looked over it for me when I was struggling).
