Why that name?Beloved (or cherished) is the literal meaning of my name Cherise.
But, I also want to use it as an adverb: be loved; hence the slash in the middle.
Apart from there being many songs with the theme 'love and be loved', I think it's also a pretty good life philosophy. We were put on the earth for relationship with Love itself, so let's exercise it.

My mum gave me my Nana's old pattern books with a variety of knitted, felted and stuffed toys to make. The patterns are quite old and I have a whole swathe of them that are unlabelled in terms of their date and where they came from.
My siblings and I still have a number of soft toys Nana made for us before her passing nearly 27 years ago. I just love how vintage patterns look so different from the stylised versions of animal toys we see these days. I have enjoyed learning how to construct many of these soft toys with different materials and often without any instructions - just a lot of trial and error of how I think the pattern should look.
